The Indian army on Friday released a video of a counterterrorism operation in Jammu and Kashmir where a terrorist can be seen surrendering to security forces. “Jahangir, we ask you to drop your weapons and surrender. In another video, security forces can be seen interacting with Jahangir’s father, who touched their feet to save his son.

Jahangir Bhat, a 31-year-old merchant, disappeared on October 13 from Chadoora. His family was trying to locate him. On Friday he was detained with an AK rifle, the Army said.
On Friday morning, a fierce shooting broke out between security forces and terrorists in Chadoora, following which mobile internet service in Budgam was suspended. Following the joint operation, internet service was restored.
