A Pakistani MP said that Indian Air Force wing commander Abhinandan Varthaman was released for fear of an attack from New Delhi.
On Wednesday, the leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, told parliament that the army chief, General Bajwa, was sweating and “his legs were shaking” when the Foreign Minister Foreign Ministry Shah Mahmood Qureshi said India would have struck “that night at 10 pm” if Pakistan did not release Abhinandan.
The Wing Commanded had landed on the other side of the border after an air combat following the Balakot airstrikes in New Delhi last year. Before his plane was hit, Varthaman had shot down a Pakistani F-16 fighter. He was released on the night of March 1 by Pakistan.
The princes of Congress do not believe in anything Indian, be it our Army, our Government, our Citizens. So here’s something from your ‘most trusted nation’, Pakistan. Hopefully now I see some light … pic.twitter.com/shwdbkQWai

Sadiq, however, did not mention when the meeting between top Pakistani officials took place.
The statement prompted BJP chief JP Nadda to target Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of not believing in anything “Indian” and of “making fun” of the armed forces.
Sharing a video of the Pakistani leader’s speech, Nadda tweeted: “The prince of Congress does not believe in anything Indian, be it our Army, our Government, our Citizens. So here’s something from your ‘most trusted nation’, Pakistan. Hopefully now I see some light … “
“The Congress Party started from the premise that its entire campaign was focused on keeping our armed forces weak. They mocked our armed forces, questioned their courage, and tried every trick to make sure India doesn’t get the latest Rafale Plans. The people of India rejected that policy and punished Congress, ”he tweeted.
