Gauahar Khan, who married her boyfriend Zaid Darbar on December 25, finally shared her digital wedding card with the hashtag #GAZAbkahaiDin. The video reveals everything about their ‘lockdown love story’, from how they fell in love to the marriage proposal.
The video begins with cute cartoons of Gauahar and Zaid waving from either side of an auto-rickshaw as they tease their ‘lockdown love story’. It then shows them meeting at a shopping mall while collecting food and then bonding over phone calls. He reveals that Zaid sent a message to Gauahar that she is “the most beautiful woman in the world.” They are then seen sitting in a parked car followed by a scene from their proposal in which Zaid knelt down and proposed to her with a song and a ring. He also hints at his love of good food and ends with Zaid carrying Gauahar in a shopping cart.
The text on the card reads: “What started as a lockdown ritual turned into love at the first whistle. Quarantine units and parking lots is what date nights looked like. No matter the distance, we are always closer together. And when all words failed, he sealed the deal with a song. We can’t wait to spend the rest of our lives with love, laughter, and most importantly, good food. “
Gauahar and Zaid were spotted in the Manish Malhotra showroom in Mumbai on Friday, ostensibly to look at the wedding haute couture. While Zaid was without a mask, Gauahar hesitated before removing his mask for a few moments for the paparazzi.

Speaking of Zaid, Gauahar had previously told the Hindustan Times in an interview: “I was reluctant to be with someone when I met him. However, I felt that this was something different because I had never met someone like him. I felt like this is my kind of human being. He is like me in many ways in thoughts, behavior, history, and characteristics. So, I knew we would have a great friendship. We did not have a courtship. I met him, we hit it off and he didn’t think he would propose to someone, marriage was not on his mind. When he asked me, it wasn’t planned. It was a flow and after meeting me for literally over a month, he proposed to me. There were no doubts. “
