Students taking the 2021 Graduate Engineering Aptitude Test (GATE) have another opportunity to change their choice of exam city. The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Bombay has reopened the GOAPS portal to allow candidates to change the location of the test center. This, says the official notice, will be the last chance to change cities. Candidates must make the change in gate.iitb.ac.in.
“The GATE 2021 committee received several requests from successful registered candidates to provide the last chance to change the choice of test city,” the official notice read. “Considering the situation of the pandemic and the applications received from a large part of the registered candidates, the GATE 2021 committee has decided to reopen the GOAPS online portal,” he added.

The window opened on December 14 and will remain open until December 15. No further changes will be allowed. “After this, no further changes can be made to the GOAPS portal, as the GATE 2021 center allocation for the generation of admission cards must be completed urgently,” according to the official notice.
GATE 2021 will be held February 5-7, and February 12-14. GATE 2021 will be held for 27 themes, as two new themes have been introduced this year. A total of 8,82,684 candidates have applied for GATE 2021, which is a slight increase from 8.59 lakh applications last year
