1) Wriddhiman Saha
Wriddhiman Saha has played a decisive role at the top of the Sunrisers Hyderabad order ever since he was awarded the opening role at IPL 2020. After warming up the bench for most of the first 10 games, SRH got Saha into the XI of game at the expense of Jonny Bairstow. While their inclusion allowed them to have more depth in the middle order by playing all-rounder Jason Holder alongside Kane Williamson, Saha seized the opportunity and made the most of it with consistent punches. Saha has scored 30, 87, 39 and 58 * in his last four games and has played a vital role in securing SRH’s qualification in the playoffs.
2) Ishan Kishan
Ishan Kishan has been the man of choice for the Mumbai Indians when it comes to rotation in batting order this season. He has been used as a starter and No. 4 this season and has hit above his weight to do well at both positions. He had seen Saurabh Tiwary outplay him in Game XI for the first two games at the start of the season before breaking a sensational 99 against RCB in a tied game. Since then, the young left-hander has not looked back, as he is now the IM’s top scorer this season with 483 runs in 13 games and the fourth-highest number of runs in total this season.
3) Devdutt Padikkal
Devdutt Padikkal of Royal Challengers Bangalore has been the find of the season at this IPL. He has started racing in his debut season with Virat Kohli & Co. and has left many impressed with his elegance and poise. Padikkal has broken the record for most runs in a season by a no-limit player with 472 runs in 14 league stage games. He has five fifties to his name, mostly from an uncapped hitter in his debut season. Padikkal is expected to continue his purple patch for RCB when they face Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Eliminator on Friday.
4) Rahul Tewatia
Another uncapped Indian player who impressed many with his all-round heroism on the season. Tewatia accomplished the impossible when he helped RR put on the highest chase in IPL history with five straight 6s on 5 balls against Sheldon Cottrell in Sharjah. He was unstoppable from there and went on to play a couple more shots to win games for his team. He was also skilled with the ball and collected crucial terrain for his team. He finished the league stages with 10 wickets and 255 runs while playing all 14 games for RR, which is a testament to the impact he had on the team this year.
5) Anrich Nortje
Not much was expected from the arrival of the South African pacemaker when Delhi Capitals hired him as a replacement for Chris Woakes. With only 2 plots to his name in three T20Is, Nortje was expected to remain behind Ishant Sharma in the pecking order. But an injury to Ishant and his impressive form meant the Proteas pacemaker posted an exceptional campaign in the league stages for DC. He scooped up 19 wickets in 13 games for DC in the league stage and formed a formidable bowling partnership with Kagiso Rabada, wreaking havoc on opposition teams. Nortje also delivered the fastest delivery ever launched in the history of the IPL, with an impressive speed of 156.22 km / h against RR.
