Four unidentified militants were killed and a policeman injured in a shooting that broke out at a toll plaza on the 270-kilometer-long Srinagar-Jammu national highway in the Nagrota area of Jammu on Thursday morning.
“Four terrorists have been neutralized and a police officer was injured in the encounter in Ban Toll Plaza, Jammu, with a joint team of the police, the CRPF and the Army. The area is being cleaned up, ”said a police spokesman.
The national highway has been closed to traffic.
These militants were traveling from Jammu to Srinagar in a vehicle when the security forces intercepted them around 5 am, “following a warning”.
