“I told (the Governor of Maharashtra) about the incident, and told him that the charges against those accused of assaulting me were not appropriate. They assured me that appropriate action would be taken against them. I also said that the government should be dissolved and Maharashtra it should be placed under the rule of the president, “the Navy veteran told reporters after the meeting.
Six defendants, including local Shiv Sena leader Kamlesh Kadam, were released on bail on Saturday, a day after Sharma, 65, was attacked near his home in Kandivalli East in Mumbai, allegedly for sending a cartoon in WhatsApp that made fun of Uddhav Thackeray.

Devendra Fadnavis said on Sunday: “It’s very bad and it’s kind of (a) ‘state sponsored terror’ situation. I called Uddhavji through my tweet to stop goonda raj (hooliganism). Six defendants were released within 10 minutes. “
Two days after the assault, Sharma sent a strong message to Maharashtra’s chief minister, while speaking to reporters. “I am hurt and stressed. What happened is saddening. I would like to tell Uddhav Thackeray that if you can’t take care of law and order, then quit and let the people decide who should,” Sharma said on the news. ANI agency.
