Disgruntled BJP leader Eknath Khadse will join the NCP on Friday. “Eknath Khadse informed us that he had resigned from all positions in the BJP. Now we will include him in our party, ”said Maharashtra CPN Chairman Jayant Patil.

“I resigned because of the mistreatment received in the organization. I hold Devendra Fadnavis responsible for ruining my political career in the BJP, ”said Khadse, who is currently in the city of Muktainagar. He has also resigned from the main membership of the party.

“We have received the resignation of Khadse as a leading member of the party. Our best wishes to him on his future road map, ”BJP spokesman Keshav Upadhya told the media.

Khadse has been unhappy with the BJP after he was forced to resign in 2016 on corruption charges. She was later denied a ballot in the 2019 Assembly elections and her daughter, who was given a ballot from the seat she represented, also lost the ballot box.

Khadse, who has been unhappy with the BJP for the past several years, has expressed his disappointment publicly on various forums. He had also indicated in the past that he had offers from the three parties Congress, NCP and Shiv Sena.

Last week, Khadse did not attend a function in Jalgaon where former Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis was present. Instead, he took time to meet with the CPN leader and interior minister, Anil Deshmukh, who had visited Jalgaon last Saturday. In the recent past, Khadse had targeted Fadnavis, accusing him of ruining his political career. Khadse had accused Fadnavis of conspiring against him, as he was a “strong contender to be the first CM candidate for the OBC” from the BJP.

The leadership of the BJP over the past few days had been declaring that Khadse would not resign Party.

“I am sure that Eknath Khadse, who is our main leader, will remain in the BJP. Anyone who resigns from the party sends his resignation to me, as I am the party chairman in the state. I have not received the resignation of any senior or junior party leader. Furthermore, “I am sure that Eknath Khadse, who is our superior leader, will do no such thing.” BJP state chairman Chandrakant Patil had said earlier this week after reports that Khadse was ready to get rid of the BJP. Fadnavis also dismissed the news says that every day there is talk of that kind of ‘muhurat’.

On Monday, the head of the PCN, Sharad Pawar, said that Khadse was formerly the leader of the opposition and played a very important role in building the BJP in the state. “You are likely to be upset if your contributions and hard work are not noted. He may think why he shouldn’t switch to a party that appreciates his work, ”said the PNC leader.

Khadse’s daughter-in-law, Raksha Khadse, is a BJP MP for Raver in Jalgaon District.
