Fit India Dialogue 2020: Prime Minister Modi reveals he makes nutritious parathas with drumsticks

To celebrate the first anniversary of the Fit India movement, Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with various fitness influencers, celebrities and citizens in a nationwide “Fit India Dialogue”.

Ki Fitness Dose, Aadha Ghanta Roz”Prime Minister Modi introduced a new slogan to encourage citizens to exercise for at least half an hour a day.

Participants included Virat Kohli, Milind Soman, both known for being passionate about fitness, soccer player Afshan Ashiq, Paralympic javelin gold medalist Devendra Jhajharia, and famous nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar, among others.

While talking about the importance of being fit and eating a healthy diet, he recounted how his mother always makes sure to ask him if he is eating. Haldi (turmeric) or not. While speaking with Diwekar, the Prime Minister also discussed his recipe for making parathas with drumsticks, who said he still eats once or twice a week.

Prime Minister Modi also asked Kohli about the YoYo test, which measures the endurance levels of athletes, which the cricketer said is an important benchmark. He noted that India’s Yo-Yo test scores were on the lower side compared to global standards. He then went on to talk about how his grandmother inspires him to eat healthy, homemade food.

Milind Soman, on the other hand, highlighted how one doesn’t really require a lot of space or a gym to exercise, while Diwekar insisted on avoiding packaged foods and eating only simple, traditional foods.

Prime Minister Modi also joked with Milind about why netizens were obsessed with his age. Responding to this, the Four more shots, please! The actor talked about how people wondered how he managed to run such long distances at his age.
