Mumbai: After being behind bars for 28 days, Bollywood actress Rhea Chakraborty was released from Mumbai Byculla Jail on Wednesday (October 7). Hours earlier, the Mumbai High Court granted the actress a personal bail of 1 lakh rupees in a drug-related case linked to the death case of Sushant Singh Rajput. The High Court rejected the release on bail of Rhea’s brother Showik Chakraborty and drug dealer Abdul Basit Parihar, who were arrested last month under various sections of the NDPS Act.
The Bombay HC ordered Rhea to hand over her passport and report to the local police station every day for 10 days. She has been asked not to leave Mumbai without informing the Office of Narcotics Control.

The NCB had arrested Rhea, Showik and others in connection with a drug case related to Sushant’s death case. The drug control agency arrested her for allegedly acquiring and financing drugs for the ‘Raabta’ actor. Rhea, who was arrested on September 8, spent 28 days in custody.

Several Bollywood celebrities including Huma Qureshi, Taapsee Pannu, Anubhav Sinha expressed their happiness after Bombay HC granted him bail.
Huma Qureshi tweeted: “Everyone should #RheaChakraborty an apology .. And there must be an investigation into the people who started these murder conspiracy theories .. What a shame to destroy a girl and her family’s life for their agendas @ Tweet2Rhea “.

Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his apartment in Bandra on June 14. Three central agencies: the CBI, the ED and the NCB are investigating the high-profile case.
