FIR filed against Lalu Prasad by Bihar BJP MLA who received his call | Patna News


PATNA: Rashtriya Janata Daljailed president Lalu prasad was slapped with a case in Patna on Thursday by the BJP MLA whom he had allegedly called while in custody and offered him a ministerial position in exchange for helping the opposition defeat the NDA candidate for the assembly speaker position .
Former Chief Deputy Minister of Bihar Sushil Kumar Modi, who had pointed out the alleged phone call on his Twitter account on Tuesday night, shared the information along with the content of the FIR presented by Lalan Kumar Paswan, on social media. According to information shared by Modi, the Pirpainti MLA has presented its FIR at the surveillance station under the Corruption prevention law and relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code. Prasad is currently housed in Ranchi, serving sentences in several forage scam cases.
The alleged call was made by him on Tuesday and in the audio clip that was shared by Modi on his Twitter account he could be heard asking Paswan to “absent himself, saying that you have afflicted with the crown.” When the MLA told him that he was subject to party discipline, Prasad had said “we are going to overthrow this government … you will be appointed minister later.” Former Hindustani Prime Minister and President Awam Morcha, Jitan Ram Manjhi, also revealed during the day that the RJD supreme had made several offers by telephoning close associates to talk to him about the election of the president.
