FIR against the sisters of Sushant Singh Rajput by Rhea Chakraborty is flawed and has bad law: CBI

The IWC has supported the request of the sisters of Sushant Singh Rajput to dismiss the FIR.

New Delhi:

An FIR filed against Sushant Singh Rajput’s sisters over Rhea Chakraborty’s complaint is “flawed and wrong in law,” the CBI said today, opposing it in Bombay High Court.

Rhea Chakraborty’s allegations against the actor’s sisters at the FIR are “presumptive and speculative” and may well have been part of the ongoing investigation, the CBI said.

The agency said that if the Mumbai police or Rhea Chakraborty had any information about the death of Sushant Singh Rajput, they should have shared it directly with the CBI to take action; the FIR registered at the Bandra police station was not necessary, he told the High Court.

The IWC has supported the petition of the sisters of Sushant Singh Rajput to dismiss the FIR.

Rhea Chakraborty, who faces multiple investigations into the death of Sushant Singh Rajput, had yesterday urged the High Court not to dismiss her case against her two sisters, whom she has accused of helping the actor to illegally access anxiety medications, using fake recipes. .

Sushant Singh Rajput, 34, a popular Bollywood star, was found dead in his apartment in Mumbai on June 14. His family has accused Rhea Chakraborty, who was dating him and left their home on June 8, of mentally harassing him, using his money. and playing a role in his death.

Last month, Rhea Chakraborty filed a case against sisters Priyanka Singh and Sushant Singh’s Meetu Singh.

His complaint was based on WhatsApp text messages between the actor and his sister on June 8, six days before he was found dead. The talks indicated that Priyanka Singh had advised her brother to take three medications: Librium, Mexito and Lonazep, which are prescribed for depression and anxiety.

Rhea Chakraborty said in her petition yesterday that Priyanka Singh had used a manufactured prescription to help Sushant Rajput access drugs prohibited under the Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Act.

He also noted that the talks indicated that contrary to his claims, his family was aware of his mental health problems.

The CBI said today that for a suicide instigation case, there must be evidence of instigation or assistance to any person to perform an act. “If these ingredients are not available, a complicity case cannot be established,” he said.

The CBI said it was already investigating the role of “each and every person” and “is investigating who instigated or instigated the deceased to commit suicide.”

“The IWC is conducting a thorough and professional investigation without being hampered by any external factors and will thoroughly examine each and every aspect related to the death of the late Sushant Singh Rajput in a fair and impartial manner,” said the agency to Superior Court.

Rhea Chakraborty was jailed last month on charges of arranging drugs for Sushant Singh Rajput and was released on bail after 28 days.
