Filming of Rajinikanth’s ‘Annaatthe’ Suspended When Crew Members Test Positive For Coronavirus

The shooting of superstar Rajinikanth Annaatthe reportedly stopped due to multiple COVID-19 cases on film set. A source close to Rajinikanth confirmed that around eight members of the technical team tested positive for the coronavirus and as a precaution, filming was temporarily suspended. The superstar is expected to return to Chennai on Wednesday or Thursday.

Last week, Rajinikanth, accompanied by his daughter Aishwarya Dhanush, took a chartered flight to Hyderabad to start the next schedule. Rajinikanth is ready to make his political leap very soon with a newly created party. So, Annaatthe’s team was racing against time to meet the deadline and relieve Rajinikanth as soon as possible, as he wanted to focus on his political activities. The crew was filming in Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad, and the schedule was supposed to be 45 days.
