International cricket returns to India with the full tour of England in February for four tests, three ODI and five T20I. The tour begins on February 5 in Chennai and Ahmedabad will host a day-night test starting on February 24, the Cricket Control Board in India (BCCI) confirmed on Thursday. The tour has been limited to three locations: Chennai, Ahmedabad and Pune, due to the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic, the BCCI said in a press release. Chennai will host the first two tests from February 5 and 13. The caravan will move to Ahmedabad for the remaining two tests and five T20I, all of which will take place at the newly built Sardar Patel Motera stadium.
The third and fourth tests will be played from February 24 (day-night) and March 4, while the T20I will be played from March 12 to 20.
The final leg of three ODIs will be played in Pune with matches on March 23, 26 and 28.

No international cricket has played in the country since March, when South Africa’s limited overs series was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The 2020 Indian Premier League, originally scheduled to take place in India from March to May 2020, was also moved to the United Arab Emirates due to the pandemic.
India is currently in Australia on a full tour of three ODI, three T20I and four tests. India won the T20I series 2-1, while Australia took the ODI series by the same margin. The test series against Australia will begin on December 17 with the first test in Adelaide.
The England Trials in India will be part of the ongoing World Trials Championship and will be the last chance for both teams to claim the championship final to be held at Lord’s later this year.

In addition to the England tour of India early next year, India is also scheduled to tour England in August-September 2021 for five events, the itinerary of which was published by the England and Wales Cricket Council (ECB) on last month.
All five tests will take place at Trent Bridge, Lord’s, Headingley, the Oval and Old Trafford, with the first game starting on August 4.
