Indian game developer nCore Games refuted rumors that the recently announced multiplayer action game FAU-G (Fearless And United – Guards) is the brainchild of the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. In a statement posted on its Twitter account, the company also addressed allegations that the poster was plagiarized.
“This statement is issued to address certain ongoing conversations / rumors on social media that FAU: G was conceptualized by the late actor Shri Sushant Singh Rajput, which is completely false and without foundation. nCore was founded in 2019 by an Indian businessman, Mr. Vishal Gondal and Mr. Dayanadhi MG and others who have been in the gaming industry for more than 20 years. It is a team of more than 25 programmers, artists, testers and designers who have worked on the best game titles in the past and are currently developing the FAU: G game, ”the statement read.

“In addition, stories of plagiarism circulate from the poster of our action game, FAU-G. We would like to further clarify that we have officially purchased the license to use the image from ShutterStock. Also, this is just a teaser poster and we’ll be releasing the game’s official title screen and game art soon, ”he added.
NCore Games and its founders will take “necessary action” against the authors of the “false and unsubstantiated news,” according to the statement.

Last week, Akshay Kumar announced FAU-G, seen as an Indian-made alternative to the popular multiplayer shooter PUBG, which was recently banned by the Indian government. The actor said the game was in fulfillment of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of an ‘aatmanirbhar (self-sufficient)’ India.
FAU-G will teach players about the sacrifices of Indian soldiers. Twenty percent of the revenue generated by the app will be donated to Bharat Ke Veer, an initiative that raises funds for families of members of the military. The game is likely to launch in late October and will be based on real-life conflicts facing Indian security forces.
