The government and farmers ‘unions will meet at 2 pm Thursday, when protests against the three farm laws enter the 35th. On Tuesday, the 34th day of the protests, the Patna police had to charge lathi against a group of protesters who were trying to march towards the residence of the governor of Bihar to express their support for farmers protesting at various borders in Delhi. Also on that day, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), whose government is in power in Delhi, announced that it would provide free Wi-Fi to protesting farmers. The AAP has on several occasions expressed its support for the farmers, and the party’s convenor and Delhi’s chief minister visited the Singhu border, the epicenter of the protests, twice. Last month, Kejriwal had rejected the Delhi police request to convert the city’s stadiums into temporary prisons, as police tried to prevent protesters from entering the national capital. Then, on December 17, the Kejriwal MLA and AAP had torn copies of the three laws in a special one-day session of the Delhi Assembly.
