NEW DELHI: As the ongoing farmer turmoil entered the 11th day, traffic movement continued to be impacted in the national capital region on Sunday morning with multiple borders between Delhi and neighboring states still closed for travelers.
Delhi traffic On Sunday, the police called on citizens to take alternative routes, as along with the borders of Singhu, Auchandi, Piao Maniyari, Mangesh, Tikri and Jharoda, the borders are closed for all kinds of traffic movement. The NH 44 is also closed on both sides.
Traffic police said that the Jhatikara border is open only for two-wheelers, while the Badusarai border is open only for light motor vehicles such as cars and two-wheelers.
Travelers coming from Haryana are advised to take alternate routes via Safiabad, Saboli, NH8 / Bhopra / Apsara borders / Peripheral expressway.
The open borders available between Delhi and Haryana are: Dhansa, Daurala, Kapashera, Rajokri NH 8, Bijwasan / Bajghera, Palam Vihar and Dundahera.
The police further reported that traffic had been diverted from the Mukarba and GTK road, and asked citizens to avoid the outer ring road, the GTK road and the NH 44.
Between the borders with Uttar Pradesh, the Chilla border on the Noida link road is closed for traffic from Noida to Delhi, however, the Gazipur border on NH 24 is closed for traffic from Ghaziabad to Delhi due to the protest of the farmers, however, the border is open. for traffic from Delhi to Ghaziabad.
People coming from Ghaziabad are advised to avoid NH 24 to come to Delhi and to use Apsara / Bhopra / DND instead.
Noida travelers are advised to avoid the Noida link road and use DND instead.
