Farmers block key Delhi-Noida route as BJP top brass meet to plan strategy for next round of talks: The Tribune India

When farmers opened new fronts for their agitation on Wednesday, the BJP’s top brass met to discuss the matter.

Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar and Consumer Affairs Minister Piyush Goyal brainstorm with Interior Minister Amit Shah to discuss strategy for the next round of talks with farmer leaders on Thursday .

Leaders of the Punjab BJP, including Surjit Kumar Jyani, are also present at the meeting. Farmers are also holding a meeting on the Singhu border to put their problems in writing.

Meanwhile, farmers protesting the new farm laws stepped up their sit-in on the Noida-Delhi border on Wednesday, leading to the closure of a key route connecting Uttar Pradesh with the national capital.

The Delhi police have also increased the vigil at smaller points leading to Delhi.
