New Delhi: An international conspiracy to smear India in light of the ongoing protest by farmers’ unions in the border areas of Delhi has come to the fore. Climate and environmental activist Greta Thunberg has come out in support of the ongoing farmers’ protest against the new farm laws of the BJP-led central government.
Greta Thunberg tweeted: “We stand in solidarity with the #FarmersProtest in India.” He also shared a document through his Twitter account that clearly shows a sinister conspiracy to smear India in international forums.

The five key points of the document are:
1. Participate in (or organize) a protest on the ground: share a solidarity photo / video message by email preferably before January 25th (solidarity messages for farmers on the Delhi border).
2. Digital Strike: #AskIndiaWhy Video / Photo Message – On or before January 26th.
3. Twitter storm on February 4, 2021: Share solidarity photo / video message before February 5, no later than February 6.
4. Contact a local representative – International pressure on the Indian government is essential.
5. The document also names two large commercial companies that allegedly manufacture wealth by working hand-in-hand with the current regime to exploit the world’s people, lands, and culture.
The Swedish climate activist extended her support for farmers and their movement after pop star Rihanna spoke out in support of protesting farmers.
Previously, Rihanna tweeted about the farmers’ protest with a news update and captioned the post asking her followers and fans using the hashtag #FarmersProtest. “Why aren’t we talking about this ?! #FarmersProtest, ”Rihanna said.
Notably, farmers have been protesting across the different borders of the national capital since November 26, 2020 against the three recently enacted agricultural laws.
