Speaking about the Goa Sunburn Festival, Health Minister Vishwajit Rane said that anything can be arranged as long as there are strict Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in place.
“Everything can be organized as long as there are strict standard operating procedures. These SOPs are managed by the respective collectors and properly monitored. You need to have strict standard operating procedures, ”Rane said.
He emphasized that cases and deaths related to the new coronavirus have decreased in the state.
“Cases and deaths here are down. I am very happy to say that the doctors at Goa Medical College and DHS have been doing a very good job. The plasma collection has also increased at Goa Medical College, ”Dr. Rane said.
When asked about the possibility of a second blockade in Goa, Dr. Rane said that he does not believe that another blockade should be imposed here as everyone ultimately has to deal with the situation, in the future.
Goa currently has 2,065 active cases of COVID-19, according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW).
