All positive samples should be subjected to confirmation by another step. Step 2 is the RdRp gene confirmatory assay. All samples that test positive by this assay should be considered as a true positive.
“There is No more RT-PCR-based confirmation is needed for samples that are positive after step 2 of the test,” revision of the guidelines.
All the positive and negative results must be reported to the icmr portal in real-time.
