Nissan has been working on its new compact SUV under 4 meters for quite some time. They finally launched it on the market and it is known as Magnite. Nissan Magnite is a compact SUV under 4 meters that competes with cars like Maruti Brezza, Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV300 on the market. Nissan had announced prices for this new compact SUV and it is currently the most affordable SUV in this segment. The starting price of Nissan Magnite is Rs 4.99 lakh, ex-showroom and even the high end trim is priced at less than Rs 10 lakh. Magnite’s high-end finish has a number of features, but here’s a video showing everything the base XE variant of Magnite has to offer.

The video has been uploaded by AutoTrend TV on his youtube channel. The video begins by showing the exterior of the Magnite. Like the basic variant of any other car, the Nissan Magnite also loses features like LED headlights and daytime running lights. Instead it has halogen headlights and instead of DRL it has a chrome garnish on the bumper. The front grille, however, continues with the chrome brackets with the new Nissan logo. Also missing is the dual-tone skid plate and LED fog lights.

Moving on to the side profile, the main difference is the wheels. It has 16-inch steel wheels and the turn signals are mounted on the fender. ORVMs are black, but they offer roof rails that many other SUVs in this segment don’t offer with the entry-level models. The door handles are also body-colored and not black. The basic XE variant also does not offer a central locking system.
Moving towards the rear, it offers a roof-mounted spoiler and also a rear windshield wiper. The Magnite badge can be seen on the trunk with a black skid plate and parking sensors. Overall, even the basic Magnite variant offers some features and isn’t that bad to look at.
Moving inside, the basic variant has a two-tone cockpit. Unsurprisingly, it offers no entertainment system, digital instrument cluster, steering-mounted controls, etc. All four windows in the Magnite XE trim have power windows and it also offers dual airbags and ABS. Magnite also offers manually adjustable ORVM and adjustable headrests for the front and rear seats. Apart from these, the split seat and the center armrest for the rear seats are lost.
The Nissan Magnite is offered with a 1.0-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine and a 1.0-liter turbo gasoline engine. The basic XE trim is available with the naturally aspirated version with manual gearbox. This engine generates 72 Ps and 96 Nm of maximum torque. Nissan Magnite offers a decent list of features even with the basic variant and is actually a good value for money product in this price range.
