‘Efforts to reactivate protests against the CAA still continue’ – RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat in a speech in Dussehra

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat said on Sunday that he listed several “notable incidents” that took place in the past year.

“In 2019, Article 370 became ineffective, then the Supreme Court rendered Ayodhya’s verdict on November 9. On August 5, 2020, the dedication ceremony of the temple of Ram was held. We witnessed the patience and sensitivity of the Indians during these events, ”Bhagwat said during his annual speech in Dussehra at the RSS headquarters in Nagpur, according to the ANI news agency.

Due to the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) pandemic, only 50 volunteers were allowed into the Maharshi Vyas auditorium.

Bhagwat said the country saw a lot of developments this year, but Covid-19 overshadowed everything.

“We witnessed anti-CAA protests that created tension in the country. Before it could be discussed further, the focus turned to Corona this year. Corona overshadowed all other issues, “said the head of RSS.

He said that by using CAA, opportunists unleashed organized violence in the name of protests.

“CAA is not opposed to any particular religious community. But those who wanted to oppose this new law misled our Muslim brothers by spreading a false notion that it was aimed at restricting the Muslim population. Using CAA, the opportunists unleashed organized violence in the name of the protests, ”said Bhagwat.

“Before it could be discussed further, this year the focus was on the coronavirus. So the communal flare in the minds of few people was left alone in their minds. In the background, the efforts of rioters and opportunists continue to rekindle the conflict, ”ANI quoted.

Bhagwat also performed Shastra Puja, the Hindu tradition in which weapons are worshiped annually during Dussehra.

RSS singles out Vijay Dashmi as one of its biggest events when the Sangh boss addresses workers on a number of topics related to politics, society, national security, and family values.
