A magnitude 3.5 earthquake struck Delhi and its adjacent areas on Sunday as tremors were felt in parts of the national capital.
Seismology Department Director JL Gautam said the intensity was 3.4 on the richest scale, while the epicenter was near the Delhi-UP border, according to a NDTV report.
Delhi Prime Minister Arvind Kejriwal also tweeted after the tremors: “The tremors were felt in Delhi. Praying for everyone’s safety.”

So far, no property losses have been reported.
This is the third earthquake that Delhi has witnessed in recent days. The other two were also low intensity.
On April 12, a 3.5 earthquake on the Richter scale shook Delhi-NCR on Sunday night. The epicenter of the earthquake was east of Delhi, the ANI news agency quoted the Indian Department of Meteorology (IMD) as saying.
The next day, on April 13, another magnitude 2.7 low-intensity earthquake struck parts of Delhi on Monday, the National Center for Seismology said.
