US President Donald Trump once again claimed victory in the election in a new tweet, saying “we are going to win.” Trump has yet to back down in the US presidential election, claiming a “great victory” in his tweets while simultaneously making unsubstantiated allegations of election fraud against Democrats. This has come even after the media declared Joe Biden the winner of the US presidential election.
Trump tweeted again about a “great victory” on Tuesday, accusing rival Biden’s Democratic party of “trying to steal” the election, citing no evidence. “We are in a BIG time, but they are trying to STEAL the election. We will never let them do it. No votes can be cast after the polls close! “the president tweeted.
Trump’s tweet came immediately after Biden, in a speech in his hometown of Delaware, told his supporters to “keep the faith” and warned them that the final results could take a while. The president tweeted that “tens of thousands of votes were illegally received after 8 pm Tuesday, Election Day, totally and easily changing the results in Pennsylvania and some other thin states.”
Twitter has consistently flagged all of its tweets accusing Democrats of theft and said that “some or all of the content shared in this tweet is in dispute and could be misleading about an election or other civic process.” During the vote count that began on November 3, Trump tweeted or retweeted nearly 37 times, and Twitter marked 13 of those tweets. Of those disclaimers, Twitter said 12 indicated that “some or all of the content” about the election in the president’s tweet is “in dispute” and possibly “misleading.”
“Twitter is out of control, made possible by the government’s gift of Section 230!” Trump said in a tweet.
