Trump also confirmed the Hicks news on Twitter this morning. “Hope Hicks, who has been working so hard without even taking a little break, just tested positive for Covid 19. Terrible! The First Lady and I are awaiting the results of our tests. In the meantime, we will begin our quarantine process! ” he said.

Trump has come under severe criticism for his handling of the pandemic. The United States is the most affected country with more than seven million cases and more than 200,000 deaths.

We have huge crowds, literally 24 hours in advance, ”the president had said.

On the effectiveness of the masks, Trump said he only wore masks “when I think I need them.”
