Bollywood stars Diljit Dosanjh and Kangana Ranaut have gotten into a war of words over the Panga actor’s tweet about a Punjabi woman involved in the farmers’ protest.
On November 27, Kangana Ranaut quoted a tweet claiming that 82-year-old Bilkis Bano, popularly known as Shaheen Bagh Dadi, was also part of the farmers’ protest against the three farm laws. The tweet had photos of Bilkis Bano and a woman marching in protest.
“Ha ha ha, she is the same dadi who appeared in Time magazine for being the most powerful Indian…. And it is available at 100 rupees. Pakistani journalists have hijacked international public relations for India in a shameful way. We need our own people to speak for us internationally. ”He read Kangana’s tweet, which the actor deleted after it was pointed out that the two women were not the same.

On Wednesday night, Diljit Dosanjh again tweeted a video of a BBC interview of 73-year-old Mohinder Kaur, the woman Kangana Ranaut mistakenly identified as Bilkis Bano. In the video, Mohinder talks about her association with the farmers’ protest and also closes off Kangana’s claim that she could be “hired for 100 rupees.” Diljit also mentioned Kangana in the tweet, asking her to verify the “proof.”
Ooo Karan johar ke paltu, jo dadi Saheen Baag mein apni keliye citizenship protest kar rahi thi wohi Bilkis Bano dadi ji Farmers ke MSP ke liye bhi protest karti hue dikhi. Mahinder Kaur ji ko toh main janti bhi nahin. Kya drama chalaya hai tum logon ne? Stop this right now. https://t.co/RkXRVKfXV1

To which, Kangana called Diljit (in Hindi) “Karan Johar’s mascot,” apparently referring to his association with Karan Johar, courtesy of their 2019 Good Newwz collaboration. Kangana added that she had been talking only about Bilkis Bano and didn’t even know who Mohinder Kaur was.
Later, Twitterati reminded the actor that his tweet about the two women was days before Bilkis Bano went to Delhi to join the farmers’ protest. In response to her tweet, Diljit asked Kangana if she becomes a “pet” to everyone she has worked with.
