MUMBAI: Veteran actors Saira Banu and Dilip Kumar expressed their condolences to legendary actor Rishi Kapoor, who breathed on Thursday morning.
The legendary actor and wife of 97 years remembered how late the Bollywood star had the habit of visiting them personally and inviting them to any function that was performed in his family.
Saira Banu posted a memory message on her husband and lead actor’s Twitter account.
In a tweet, Saira ji wrote on behalf of Dilip ji: “I met #RishiKapoor hale and cordial recently. He always set out to come lovingly personally in our old traditional ways of inviting family functions. Rishi always kept in touch and kept Dilip Kumar and Raj Kapoor’s bond alive. RIP “SairaBanuKhan”.
Rishi Kapoor’s legendary father and actor, Raj Kapoor, and Dilip Kapoor had friendly relationships.
Rishi passed away peacefully on Thursday morning after a two-year battle with leukemia, his family said in a statement. In September 2019, the veteran actor returned to Mumbai after staying in New York for nearly a year to receive cancer treatment.
