Former Indian fast bowler Ashish Nehra has become a cricket commentator and expert since hanging up his boots and developing a reputation for calling things by his name. During a conversation with former India slugger Akash Chopra on the latter’s show, Aakash Vani, Nehra said he disagreed with Virat Kohli’s comment that ODI does not matter this year. Are you trying to say that the Indian team did not try to win those ODI matches against New Zealand? I disagree with Virat Kohli’s statement, “Nehra said during her conversation with Aakash Chopra.
India had won the T20I series but lost both the ODI and test matches in New Zealand earlier this year. It was a major setback for this team, which is considered by many to be one of the strongest Indian teams, due to its strength in the bowling department.

However, Nehra said this team is not close to the conquering Australian side of the first decade of the 2000s.

It’s not that this Indian team can’t get there, but I think the core group is very important.
