‘Difference of perception’ regarding LAC with China: Rajnath on the border confrontation

Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said on Thursday that India is no longer an easy target and this has been possible thanks to the policy changes made by our government at the Center.

Speaking on the third day of the ongoing Hindustan Times Leadership Summit 2020, the defense minister answered some burning questions, especially about India’s security and its border tensions with China.

On the ‘difference of perception’ with China, Singh said: “There is a ‘difference of perception’ with respect to LAC with China, the problem arises when the agreed protocols are violated.”

“I want to assure everyone that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, there will be no compromise on the border, self-respect and sovereignty of India,” Rajnath added.

Furthermore, on the confrontation between China and LAC, Rajnath said: “The talks have continued and we will continue to dialogue to resolve the border confrontation with China. But I believe that the countries should not be expansionary.”

On the anniversary of the 11/26 attacks that occurred in 2008, the Defense Minister also added: “Today is very important as far as national security is concerned. 11/26 gave a new direction to our policy. security, the incident challenged our sovereignty. ” . “

Singh reported that the BJP government in the Center has designed the nation’s security policy in such a way that another 11/26 is almost impossible.

He also said that India’s response action against terrorism is 360 degrees. “We not only control infiltration, but we can also give an adequate response to terrorists on the other side of the border, says Rajnath Singh, recalling the 2016 surgical strikes. This is a radical change from the policy that India followed during previous governments.” added.
