Good news for travelers who had to postpone their Go to travel plans due to restrictions in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, the state government has opened borders for everyone. In fact, now you don’t even need a COVID-19 test.

Chief Minister Pramod sawant He said that starting today, bar-restaurants can open as part of unlocking 4, although they will need to follow MHA guidelines.

“The previous tests were mandatory for those who wanted to enter Goa. But now they will not be mandatory,” Sawant said.

The Chief Minister said that if someone is symptomatic, the person can be tested in the state. “There are also no restrictions on the interstate movement of people and vehicles.”

Furthermore, he added that social distancing regulations and MHA guidelines must be followed everywhere.

However, the restrictions imposed by the Center will apply in Goa.

Goa reported 414 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, bringing the total infection count in the state to 17,418. With nine people succumbing to the infection, the number rose to 192.

Meanwhile, after the passing of former President Pranab Mukherjee, there will be no functions as the state will observe seven days of mourning.
