“The previous tests were mandatory for those who wanted to enter Goa. But now they will not be mandatory,” Sawant said.
The Chief Minister said that if someone is symptomatic, the person can be tested in the state. “There are also no restrictions on the interstate movement of people and vehicles.”
Furthermore, he added that social distancing regulations and MHA guidelines must be followed everywhere.
However, the restrictions imposed by the Center will apply in Goa.
Goa reported 414 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, bringing the total infection count in the state to 17,418. With nine people succumbing to the infection, the number rose to 192.
Meanwhile, after the passing of former President Pranab Mukherjee, there will be no functions as the state will observe seven days of mourning.
