Dia Mirza disputed reports that her name appeared in the Office of Narcotics Control investigation into Bollywood’s alleged drug links. She said ‘fake’ and ‘unfounded’ news not only affects her reputation, but also affects her professionally. She stressed that she has never acquired or used prohibited drugs and that she will resort legally.
“I would like to vigorously refute and categorically deny this news as false, unfounded and with malicious intent. These frivolous reports have a direct impact on my reputation being tarnished and causing damage to my career, which I have painstakingly built through years of hard work. I have never acquired or used narcotic or contraband substances in any way in my life. I intend to seek all legal resources available to me as a law abiding citizen of India. Thanks to my followers for supporting me, “he said in a statement shared on his Instagram page.
On Tuesday, some reports claimed that Dia’s name appeared during questioning of drug traffickers and that the NCB could call her for questioning.

Bollywood’s alleged drug links have come under scrutiny during an investigation into the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. His girlfriend, Rhea Chakraborty, was arrested earlier this month for acquiring drugs and is currently in Byculla jail.
NCB Deputy Director KPS Malhotra told the Hindustan Times that Rhea named Sara Ali Khan and Rakul Preet Singh in her statement before being arrested. The two will be convened by the agency under Section 67 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS) of 1985.
However, there is no clarity on the context in which the names Sara and Rakul were taken. “Their roles cannot be given at this time,” said the deputy director of the OCN. Meanwhile, reports suggest that the names of more Bollywood celebrities have appeared in the investigation, although there is no official confirmation yet.
