Dharavi’s Covid-19 Count Increases By 4; the total number of cases reaches 3700


The total number of coronavirus cases in Dharavi has risen to 3,700. According to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), four more people tested positive for coronavirus in the city’s Dharavi slums on Wednesday.

A total of 3,371 recoveries from Dharavi have been reported. Considered the largest slum settlement in Asia, Dharavi so far has 18 active cases.

A senior BMC official said eight more COVID-19 Positive cases were found in Mahim area, bringing the total number of positive cases in the area to 4,383. Currently, there are 273 active cases in Mahim. There have been 3,965 downloads so far from Mahim. On the other hand, it can be noted that cases have decreased in Mahim in the last two days when 20 (December 1) and 14 (November 30) new cases were reported in the area, respectively.

Close Dadar reported 13 new cases, bringing the total number of positive COVID-19 cases in the area to 4604. A total of 4,278 people have been discharged from Dadar so far. There are 155 active cases in Dadar.

Overall, the G / North district, which includes Dharavi, Mahim and Dadar, registered 25 new cases today, and with this, the total cases in the district have reached 12,687. Currently, there are 446 active cases in Dadar and 11,614 recoveries.
