Having emerged as the largest party in the NDA in Bihar with 78 seats, the BJP is now shifting its focus to West Bengal and other states where elections are scheduled for 2021. Aditi Prasad of the Hindustan Times spoke with the BJP leader , Amit Malviya, on the BJP’s agenda for states and the polarization burden the party often faces. The BJP leader said that raising genuine issues that concern people cannot be called polarization. “In West Bengal, the blatant minority appeasement of the Mamata Banerjee government will be a problem. The fact that the majority community is the recipient of discriminatory behavior from the state will be a problem, ” Amit Malviya told the Hindustan Times. However, the head of BJP’s IT cell added that they will not dilute their focus on development, but added that the party will not avoid inconveniences that need to be addressed.
