New Delhi: Several new developments in the case of the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput have left the entire nation in shock. As the CBI investigated his sudden death, the sensational drug conspiracy put a new twist on the case and the names of stars such as Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor appeared in connection with him.
Now a key witness, boatman Jagdish Gopinath Das, who drives a motorboat on the Pavana Dam, has shared new details about these actress parties with Sushant on an island near the area. Jagdish revealed exclusive details before NCB officials investigated the drugs angle in the case after arriving at the agency’s Mumbai office.
He told the NCB that Sushant and his friends used to visit the island frequently. Jagdish added that in 2018 he received a call from two people named Abbas and Ramzan Ali, who told him they had to visit the Pavana dam. After which Sushant, accompanied by them, took a ride in his boat, visited the dam and went swimming. Then,
“When they returned, they gave me Rs 16,000. Sushant and his friends regularly came to Pavana. They used to spend time on an island called Gavande,” the boatman said in his statement to NCB.
Meanwhile, Jagdish also claims that Sara Ali Khan, Rhea Chakraborty, and Shraddha Kapoor also used to visit the dam, but separately.
“Sushant spent hours with Rhea on the island. Shraddha visited the place only once with the actor, while Sara went three or four times with him and they celebrated together,” said Jagdish.
He added that in addition to the aforementioned celebrities, Sushant’s roommate Sidharth Pithani, his close aides Dipesh Sawant and Samuel Miranda, Rhea’s brother Showik Chakraborty, and others also used to go to the party. Jagdish said they used alcohol and narcotic substances. However, he further said that he does not have any information about their personal lives.
Sushant was found dead in his apartment in June 2020. CBI, NCB and ED are investigating different angles in his death case.
The NCB arrested Rhea, Showik, Dipesh Sawant, Samuel Miranda and some suspected drug traffickers in connection with the case.
Meanwhile, sources said Monday that the NCB will soon summon Sara Ali Khan and Shraddha Kapoor for questioning in the drug case linked to the death of Sushant Singh Rajput.
