Meanwhile, the Sikh Council UK has demanded that political leaders support the Canadian prime minister.
“Political leaders should stand alongside @JustinTrudeau to oppose human rights violations by the Indian authorities and not give in to harassment,” the Sikh Council UK said in a tweet.

We hope that the Canadian Government will guarantee maximum security for Indian diplomatic personnel and their political leaders to refrain from pronouncements that legitimize the extremist activism, “the statement added.
