While the cut-off has increased in almost all courses. The biggest jump was seen in the Sanskrit (Hons) course, where the cap has released 70 percent from 65 percent last year for business and science students, yet for humanities students it remains in the 65 percent. This could set the tone for cuts this season expected to be released in October.

The cutoff points published by DU are based on the best of the four grades obtained in the class 12 board examinations. The best of the four formulas includes one language subject, one major subject (if applicable), and two subjects remaining based on highest scores on board exams. For each subject, the criteria may be slightly different, students should study the prospectus carefully before applying. Those that coincide with the cut-off will have to undergo a document verification process.
