A traffic policeman was dragged on the hood of a car for almost 400 meters after he tried to stop the vehicle traveling at high speed on a busy highway in Delhi. CCTV footage shows the policeman holding onto the car before falling onto the road, his legs nearly missing the wheels of the hatchback driven by the offender as other vehicles passed him.

The incident, which took place on Monday, took place in the Dhaula Kuan area in southwest Delhi.

In CCTV video, Officer Mahipal Singh is seen standing next to the hatchback, who was reportedly arrested for wearing a fancy license plate; he gets into the car at the moment when the driver tries to flee from the police.

Police personnel do not let go even when the offender is driving in a zigzag; He is later seen falling onto the road after being driven for approximately 400 meters.

The driver of the car was arrested after a one kilometer chase. The accused was identified as Shubham, a resident of Uttam Nagar.

Police arrested Shubham on charges of obstruction, injury, and improper driving.
