NEW DELHI: Air quality deteriorated further with increased pollutants in the national capital on Friday morning.
The Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 387 in Anand Vihar, 333 in RK Puram, 391 in Rohini and 390 in Dwarka, all four in the ‘very poor’ category, according to data from the Pollution Control Committee. Delhi (DPCC).

The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) has filed with the Delhi high court which has issued instructions to enforcement agencies including State Pollution Control Boards, construction agencies, municipal bodies, police Delhi transit and transportation department and NCR to take strict action against air pollution occupations.

Environment Minister Gopal Rai highlighted his party’s efforts to reduce air pollution in Delhi after launching the ‘Red Light On, Gaadi Off’ campaign as part of the ‘Yuddh Pradushan Ke Viruddh’ (War Against pollution) from the Delhi government on October 21.
“Cars that turn off at red lights can reduce vehicular pollution by 15 to 20 percent. Our government will work to curb sources of internal pollution, but for external sources like increasing stubble burning, we are calling for helps the Center and neighboring states. ” Rai said.
“Starting October 26, we started a big campaign in 70 constituencies of Delhi where awareness campaigns will be launched to raise awareness about air pollution and its solutions for the citizens of Delhi.
