Delhi police to investigate ‘international conspiracy’ to ‘smear’ India

The Delhi police cyber cell registered an FIR to investigate an “international conspiracy” to smear the country, a senior police official said on Thursday.

He said they filed an FIR on the matter after a Twitter user shared a “toolkit” on Twitter, but later deleted it. No names have been mentioned in the FIR, the officer said.

Praveer Ranjan, Special Commissioner of Police, said that an FIR had been registered under section 124A (Sedition), 153 (Giving senseless provocation with intent to cause riot), 153 A (Promoting enmity between different groups) and 120 B ( criminal conspiracy). He added that he also aims to wage a social, cultural and economic war against India.

“Delhi police are monitoring social media in connection with the Kisan unrest. In the process, the Delhi police have identified more than 300 SM [social media] identifiers, which have been used to post malicious and hateful content. These identifiers are being used by some organizations / people who have [a] vested interests and are spreading discontent against the government. from India, “Ranjan said.

Police said that in the context of the Kisan upheaval, while farmers may not even be aware of the forces that guide their actions and set their agenda, there were clear indicators that hostile “deep state actors” were behind or they would join exploit feelings.

In the process of monitoring social media, a document titled toolkit was uploaded via one of the identifiers on a particular social media platform, the officer said.

A preliminary investigation has revealed that the toolkit in question appears to have been created by a supposedly pro-Khalistan Poetic Justice Foundation.
