A total of 569 students from Delhi government schools passed the National Eligibility and Entrance Exam (NEET), of whom 379 are girls, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said on Tuesday.
At a press conference here, Kejriwal said: “Every time there is depressing news about COVID-19, but this time, there is good news as 569 students from Delhi’s public schools have passed the NEET exam, from the which 379 are girls. 67 percent of the girls passed this exam with flying colors. “
“29 out of 118 students from SKV Molar Band 1 School passed the NEET exam, at SKV C-1 Yamuna Vihar, 24 out of 137 students passed the exam and 23 out of 81 students at SKV Noor Nagar School. There are a total of 48 students who scored more than 500 points out of 720, ”Kejriwal added.
Speaking about the result of the joint entrance examination, he said that five students from RPVV Paschim Vihar have been admitted to IIT.
“443 Delhi public school students passed the JEE Mains exam and 53 of them passed the JEE Advanced exam. Five students from RPVV Paschim Vihar school have been admitted to IIT. I wish all the students the best, ”Kejriwal said.
“All of these students are inspiration to other students studying in classes X and XII. I mean that students don’t have to worry about money if they want to study. The Delhi government has arrangements for all students who want to study, ”he added.
The National Testing Agency had declared the NEET 2020 results on Friday, while the JEE result was declared on October 5.
