Delhi Chief Deputy Minister Manish Sisodia said on Monday that he tested positive for the coronavirus disease (Covid-19). Sisodia took to Twitter to make the announcement and said that he had isolated himself.
Sisodia felt unwell Sunday night with a mild fever and was tested for Covid-19 on Monday. The minister assured the people that he was fine and that he had no major complications.
“Right now there is no fever or any other complications. I am completely fine. With your good wishes and blessings, I’ll be back to work soon, ”wrote Sisodia on Twitter in Hindi.

Earlier Monday at the Delhi Assembly, President Ram Niwas Goel had reported on Sisodia’s absence from today’s special session.
“Senior Deputy Minister Manish Sisodia will not attend today’s session because he has had a fever since last night,” Goel said at the Delhi Assembly.
Delhi registered 3,229 new cases of Covid-19 on Monday, bringing the virus count to more than 2.21 lakh, according to the Delhi government health bulletin. The death toll rose to 4,770 with 24 new deaths reported in the last 24 hours.
The city conducted around 44,884 Covid-19 tests in the last 24 hours, of which 9,859 were RTPCR / CBNAAT / TrueNat tests and 35,025 were rapid antigen tests.
