Deepika Padukone was the administrator of a WhatsApp group where drugs were discussed, it is reported. Talent manager Jaya Saha made this disclosure to the Office of Narcotics Control during questioning.
Deepika, along with actors Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Preet Singh and Shraddha Kapoor, have been summoned in connection with a drug angle in the death case of Sushant Singh Rajput, which has allegedly discovered a larger nexus in Bollywood.
According to Times Now, NCB sources have said that the WhatsApp group on the basis of which Deepika came under suspicion, was run by the actress herself. Jaya Saha was also an “administrator” of the chat group.
Meanwhile, fashion designer Simone Khambatta visited the NCB office in Mumbai on Thursday for questioning. Karishma Prakash, who works at the talent management agency KWAN, was also summoned this week. KWAN CEO Dhruv Chitgopekar and film producer Madhu Mantena also appeared before the NCB for questioning on the matter.
Shruti Modi, the former business manager of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, has also been questioned by the NCB in the case in the past.

The OCN had launched an investigation after receiving an official communication from the Directorate of Execution (ED), in which there were several talks related to the consumption, acquisition, use and transportation of drugs. What started with Rhea Chakraborty, the arrests of her brother Showik on acquisition charges and having ties to drug traffickers earlier this month, has now escalated with several film and television actors being questioned.
