BATHINDA: Agricultural leaders Tuesday night blamed Majha’s Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee and Deep sidhu – who had led a group to the Red Fort – for the violence in the national capital and described the entire episode as “the work of some central agencies” to defame the peasants’ struggle.
Samyukt Kisan Morcha sources said the groundwork for the rebel scenes was laid on Monday night when mess was created on the Samyukt Morcha stage and some young men along with the gangster turned activist Lakha Sidhana had taken command of the stage from where it was openly announced that they would follow the route as previously planned as some spoke of heading towards the Red Fort . .
Leader of BKU-Rajewal Balbir Singh Rajewal He said: “I had said that if we stay in peace we will win, but if we opt for violence we may not win. Now those who led the farmers down the wrong routes are responsible for all this. We will do an introspection on why and how it all happened. ”
Agricultural leader Rajinder singh he blamed central agencies and said: “Deep Sidhu did not play a positive role either.”
BKU Ekta Ugrahan President Joginder Singh Ugrahan said: “What happened is regrettable and we will look at all of this and see what went wrong as it seemed that the central agencies managed to make their plan work.”
BKU Haryana leader Gurnam Singh Charuni criticized Deep Sidhu for misleading young people with the Red Fort and described him as a “dalal (agent)” of the Union government. He made it clear that the agitation of the farmers was not religious and would remain the same in the future.
In a video posted Tuesday night, Charuni warned people to beware of Deep Sidhu, saying: “It is reprehensible to give it a religious color, whatever the incident that occurred in Lal Qila (Red Fort) today. Our andolan (protest) is only from farmers and a mass movement, which is not religious at all. And whatever Deep Sidhu has done, we condemn him with strong words and feel that he is a dalal (agent) of the government who has been wrong for many days. Every time, he speaks out against the agricultural leaders and deceives against them. Whatever he did today is highly reprehensible as we had not made any calls to go to Lal Qila.
