They are priced between 41 lakh and 1.24 crore. LIG flats are priced between 17 lakh rupees and 35 lakh rupees in areas such as Dwarka, Rohini and Narela. The 2016 National Building Code guidelines that were followed on the project refer to fire and structural safety provisions, design provisions for wind and seismic loads, modern lighting techniques such as LED and induction light, and faster elevators for taller buildings. Who can apply and how?
Applicant must be a citizen of India, have attained 18 years of age and must not own any dwelling unit (including residential plot) / apartment in whole or in part on a leasehold or wholly owned basis in Delhi, as either in his own name or in the name of the spouse or in the name of any of the dependent relatives, including unmarried children. Both husband and wife can apply for flats separately, subject to meeting the eligibility conditions with the stipulations that if both are successful, only one floor will be assigned to one.
The scheme is entirely online, for which the DDA has developed new AWAAS software through which applicants can complete all application, payment and possession procedures online. They have to visit DDA just for the Conveyance deed execution process, a senior official said.
Applicants applying for apartments under the scheme will have to deposit an application money of Rs 25,000 for EWS; LIG – Rs 1.00.00; MIG – Rs 2.00.00; HIG – 2.00,000 rupees.
