Amid the rise in coronavirus cases in Uttar Pradesh and other parts of Inida, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced on Monday (September 28) that no public events to celebrate Durga Puja will be allowed in the state.

CM Yogi said celebrations will not be allowed on highways throughout the state. The UP prime minister also urged people to establish the idol of Goddess Durga in their homes.

CM Yogi also said that Ramlila will organize in Uttar Pradesh under strict COVID-19 coronavirus guidelines. He assured the people of the state that the tradition of staging Ramlila will not be broken due to the coronavirus pandemic but no more than 100 people will be able to see the Ramlila at a time.

According to the UP Prime Minister, social distancing rules will be strictly followed to curb the spread of the coronavirus and people must follow the guidelines to prevent COVID-19.
