Days after receiving an injection of the Covid vaccine, Haryana’s Minister of Health and Home, Anil Vij, tested positive for the corona virus on Saturday.

Vij tweeted that he tested positive for Corona and is admitted to Ambala Cantt Civil Hospital.
I have had a positive Corona result. I am admitted to the Ambala Cantt Civil Hospital. Everyone who has been in contact with me is advised to get a crown test.

On November 20, Vij received an injection of the Covaxine vaccine from Bharat Biotech as a volunteer.
I will be given a test dose of the coronavirus vaccine. #Covaxin a Bharat Biotech product Tomorrow at 11 am at the Civil Hospital, Ambala Cantt under the expert supervision of a team of doctors from PGI Rohtak and the Department of Health. I have volunteered to take the test dose.

Just yesterday, a deputation from the JJP, the BJP alliance partner in the Manohar Lal Khattar government, had met with Vij demanding the withdrawal of the criminal cases registered against farmers.
The delegation included MP CM Dushyant Chautala’s younger brother Digvijay Chautala and JJP state chairman Nishan Singh.
Furthermore, Yog Guru Ram Dev had met Vij at his office in Chandigarh on December 1.
Dr Dhruv Chaudhary, Covid-19 Status Nodal Officer and Head of the Department of Pulmonary and Intensive Care Unit at PGIMS, Rohtak, who had been leading the Covaxine trials, said it is not yet known whether Vij received one. vaccine or a placebo, as the vaccines for the volunteers are randomly selected by computer.
Meanwhile, Bharat Biotech said the clinical trials for Covaxin are based on a 2-dose schedule, administered 28 days apart. The efficacy of the vaccine will be determined 14 days after the second dose. Covaxin has been designed to be effective when subjects receive both doses.
Previously, Senior Minister ML Khattar, Senior Deputy Minister Dushyant Chautala, Speaker of the State Assembly Gian Chand Gupta and a couple of BJP-JJP government ministers contracted the virus.
