Dana White makes big announcement about future UFC events

UFC President Dana White announces crazy plans to kick off the company’s schedule.

Recently, the UFC made an official statement announcing the fight card for May 9 (UFC 249). As anticipated, Justin Gaethje and Tony Ferguson will headline the event and battle for the interim lightweight championship. The main main event will feature Henry Cejudo defending his title against the bantamweight GOAT, Dominick Cruz.

Dana White has a crazy idea to hold 3 UFC events in one week

On his Instagram, Brett Okamoto revealed that Dana White wants to organize 3 events in eight days. They will all take place in Florida. Joe Rogan, Jon Anik and Daniel Cormier will handle the commentary game by game. The post also mentioned that Dana White’s fight island will be operational in June.

You may think this is your typical Dana White making absurd statements. But that is not the case. On its official page, the UFC made this statement.

Las Vegas: UFC® returns with one of the most stacked cards in recent history, led by a fight guaranteed to deliver fireworks, as No. 1 contender Tony Ferguson and No. 4 ranked the battle for Justin Gaethje by the interim championship. In the main event, Henry Cejudo intends to prove himself the best UFC bantamweight champion of all time, as he seeks to defeat multiple starter Dominick Cruz. This will be the first of three events to take place at the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida on May 9, 13 and 16 respectively, future cards will be announced at a later date. These events will be closed to the public and will occur with only essential personnel present.
