Daily Covid-19 Case Count in India Drops to 70,589; recoveries increase to over 82%


India recorded a drop in the number of new cases of coronavirus disease on Tuesday. According to the Union Ministry of Health, the number of new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours is 70,589; the country has registered more than 80,000 cases in recent days.

The national tally has passed the 61 lakh mark.

According to the update of the Union Ministry of Health on Tuesday, there are 9,47,576 active cases, while 51,01,398 patients have been cured or discharged from hospitals.

The country recorded 776 deaths in the last 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 96,318, according to the Health Ministry.

But the Health Ministry has shared positive statistics amid the bleak outlook. He said that India has seen a near 100% increase in recoveries in the past month.

The ministry also reported that more than 82 percent of all patients have been recovered and discharged.

“India has witnessed a near 100 percent increase in recoveries in the last month. More than 82 percent of the total cases (more than 50 lakhs) recovered and were discharged. Active cases (less than 10 lakhs) a small proportion (less than 1/5) of the total cases, ”the ministry tweeted on Tuesday.

Yesterday, he had said that recovered cases have exceeded active cases more than five times.

“The commendable feat has been accomplished through an improved medical infrastructure, the implementation of the standard treatment protocol, the total dedication and commitment of doctors, paramedics and frontline workers,” the ministry had said in a series of tweets. .

It has also launched a web portal that will provide all the important information on Covid-19, vaccine development, ongoing clinical trials, and advances made in this area locally and globally.

The Indian Council for Medical Research (ICMR) has also launched the National Clinical Registry for Covid-19 which will collect systematic data on clinical signs and symptoms, laboratory investigations, management protocols, the clinical course of coronavirus disease, its spectrum and patient results.
