On Tuesday (June 23), a CRPF jawan was killed and two unidentified militants were killed in an encounter with security forces in Bandzu area of Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir.
According to the army, two AK-47s have been recovered from the encounter site and the joint operation is still on.
Jammu and Kashmir Police GDP said, “An operation was started in the village Bandzu along with the local army and CRPF units this morning by the Pulwama police on a reliable police input. He said two militants were killed, while a CRPF jawan was injured, who later succumbed. The CRPF jawan was injured when terrorists opened fire at the cordon party.
A major tragedy occurred on Monday (9 June 22) in Jammu and Kashmir after an attack by a grenade fired by terrorists at a Central Reserve Police Force camp in Pulwama.
PTI quoted officials as saying that the grenade exploded near the camp. “Terrorists threw a grenade at the CRPF camp at Batagund in Tral area around 8.30 pm,” police officials said.
After the explosion, CRPF personnel fired a few rounds into the air. He said that no one was killed or lost in the incident.
